US Fish and Wildlife Staff, Meg Duhr-Schultz (bottom), and volunteers (left to right: Ryan Potter, Megan Juran, &  board president Catherine Fox) sit atop two days worth of collecting ghost nets in French Frigate Shoals in 2012. Ghost nets are discarded fishing nets that snag onto underwater structures and can become an entanglement hazard for marine wildlife.

Please visit the Midway Atoll website for volunteer announcements.

Find Volunteer Opportunities in Hawaii
Find Opportunities to Work, Volunteer, Intern, Research and Learn, ConservationConnections.org is a key initiative led by the Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance and Foundation to increase support for conservation work across the Hawaiian Islands.

The Hawaiian Islands National Wildlife Refuge is not accepting volunteers in the field at this time.  We encourage you to donate your time to our fellow Refuges :)
